MyBlog Back...

September 2007
I ‘launched’ MyWatercolours.com on September 08 2007. No fuss or frills, a bit of background info and plenty of original paintings!

October 2007
Added these paintings to the site (top row), they're based on my colleagues’ photos. The first painting is a walkway called ‘Battery Stairs’ in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

January 2008
Decided Jodarose.com needs a bit of TLC so have began a few changes to the look and feel of the site. The changes will be significant and as it's a large website it's going to take a while... watch this space!

January 2008
Another new year and a couple of new paintings to add to the site - where does the time go! They are both Acrylic... I guess you could say they're a bit abstract - no apologies, and I love the colours! The first painting is an interesting composition I think - a boat moored on snow
!

January 2008
Have decided to make mywatercolours.com smoother and easier to navigate. Published the new version today, 24.01.2008. I dare say there will be a few 'glitches' to sort out though - mind you that's half the fun!

January 2008
I’ve tried to capture the atmosphere of a ‘bluesy’ nightclub with this one, another Acrylic. I wanted deep, rich colours to try and reproduce the tones of a well-played trumpet. So I used paint straight from the tube, mixing with each brush-stroke. I normally use a limited palette... I have been known to use only three colours in a painting! Apart from Titanium White, this one was limited to just four; Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna and Raw Umber.

February 2008
The gardening section on Jodarose.com has now become a website in it's own right! Published 'A Window to the Garden' today, 21.02.2008.

March 2008
The first of March - version4 of Jodarose.com has at last got enough material to be published! Over the coming days I will complete it.

March 2008
As I enjoy creating Websites I have included a link as part of Jodarose.com under the not-so original title of DH Designs!

March 2008
Already working on re-vamping MyWatercolours.com

April 2008
Concluded and published MyWatercolours.com - Version 2.

April 2008
Included a link on A Window to the Garden to the NPTC Courses I help run at the Promenade Park in Maldon.

May 2008
Concluded Jodarose.com, Version 4 - I think!

May 2008
I have now included a link on A Window to the Garden called WttG Visitors' Gardens. The thinking behind it is that visitors might like to see photos of their own garden on the site. I hope the pictures do come in – it would be great to see them!

June 2008
Introduced a new range of paintings to MyWatercolours.com - I've called them Picture Decor. They are a range of paintings on stretched canvas boards, an example of which is opposite. The paintings in my Picture Decor range are probably the most dynamic artwork I do - the pictures are full-on colour, movement and light! When it comes to my artwork in general I have to admit I do like to occasionally break the so-called rules... with my Picture Deco range I shall be breaking these rules more often!

September 2008
Introduced a new link to jodarose.com. I was thinking, after visiting a website once or twice if I wanted to go to specific page I would like to just go there - I needed to include a Site Map. So I have - to all four of my sites!
